JONNY OPTIMUS (Daylite Robbery Sound System)
Jonny is a jungle drum and bass DJ / promoter hailing from Manchester and forming one part of the Daylite Robbery Sound System (DRSS) crew. Attending his first free party at age 17 his involvement in the underground music and party scene grew until he invested in his first sound system, joined up with DRSS and started DJing at age 18. Today you might find him partying in fields, warehouses and clubs across the country either behind the decks, next to an amp rack or skanking out in front of a savage pile of bass boxes.
Incorporating all styles of drum and bass into his sets today he has held several residencies at events in Manchester and Leeds. For this debut set at Beat-Herder expect upbeat dub-wise DnB mixed up with dark rolling amen breaks.
