Snareophobe is a Sub-conscious, forward thinking musical collaboration between Chris Sourpuss (Sourpuss DJ's) and Pete Fibre (Sine & Fibre) from Manchester. The project initially started as an experiment into the deeper side of bass music, spiralling into a live two man mashup of sub low frequencies, diverse drum patterns and dubbed out atmospherics. Taking influences from Jungle, Garage, Breakbeat and Dubstep; the Snareophobe live set has now evolved. Performances consist of a hyper DJ vs Laptop sound clash - mixing up heavyweight basslines, samples, loops & fx; mashing up their own tracks over four channels and remixing tracks on the fly. Often joined on stage by Dub Fx & Mr Woodnote or guest vocalists, layers of twisted, electronic music & vocal fx come as standard!
