James Deane (TT Resident)
Like his twin brother Martin, James Deane is almost into his third decade of DJing and refuses to rest on his laurels. He was a resident at the Bassquake parties of the 1990s, before becoming a Trailer Trash resident in the early noughties. He’s played at every BH so-far & closed the festival’s Toil Trees stage in 07 & 08.
James is a musical chameleon. He’s recently played techno at the Beaverworks [Leeds], tech-funk at Statick [Todmorden], Funk at both the Social [Preston] & Funk Ugly [Trades] and Bavarian nose-flute music at Fabric [Sorry, we made that last one up - but believe us - it’s possible].
A confirmed fidget, he is constantly on the lookout for new music in a variety of styles and is never happier than when ‘mixing things up’.
For this years’ Beat Herder (we think) he’s settled on a tech-funk set for Friday night & a more eclectic offering for the Saturday evening, although this is not confirmed – obviously!
