Since forming a couple of years ago they’ve wowed crowds at Glastonbury to Fabric, Rome to a recent 3000 person sell-out gig in Spain… MTV Europe broadcast an hour long special on the band and iDJ magazine have named them in the Top 10 of Hottest Live Dance Acts on the Planet saying ‘The first breakbeat band to go live and by far the best.’
Rennie cut his teeth as part of Rhythm Section who played at every major Rave back in the day. He also did a lot of live shows as ‘Thursday Club’ and Philadelphia Bluntz and now he’s now back into saddle with The TCR Allstars.
Rennie says of his band:
‘People had have 15 years of djs as the main providers of electronic music, the time is now right to put cutting-edge stuff back in to a live context. We are not trying to be a rock band we are a dance band’

Rennie Pilgrem (Keyboards, bass, cdj’s, Apple Mac, Kazoo)
Having spent his early years honing his keyboard skill on a ‘state-of-the-art’ £7 piano delivered by tractor. Rennie played in various funk bands before hardcore rave took over his life in the early 90’s.

MC Chickaboo (Vocals, Percussion)
Has worked with Rennie on many occasions when he’s djing. She co-wrote the award-winning ‘2 Freaks’ with Blim & Rennie. She has perfomed live and recorded with Timo Mass (‘Shapeshifter’), Superstar Deluxe and she is regularly on of the ‘Funki Dreads’ with Soul II Soul.
Richard Thair (Drums)
As a founder member of Red Snapper, Richard Thair’s drumming became renowned in the world of electronica. He was also part of ‘The Aloof’. He’s had stints on the road with ‘Hybrid’, Two Lone Swordsman, Radioactive Man, The Beloved, The Sandals, and Sabres Of Paradise. He now fronts his own very well-respected ‘Toob’ project.
William South (Bass, Keyboards)
Rennie’s partner in their groundbreaking ‘Philadelphia Bluntz’ project, William is an multi-talented musician who has toured with, Larry Heard, David Byrne, and All Saints. Will came to prominence as half of the mutant jazz outfit ‘Heavy Shift’ and has been provided the music for the hit TV conman series ‘Hustle’.
Dates
They debuted at Glastonbury Festival and wowed thousands with their performance. Their sets at The Glade & Beautiful Days festivals have been named as one of the highlights of both festivals and they recently rocked a sold-out Fabric and Agatha in Rome, Cargo, Slovenia and Spain.
