Semihere are a two piece band playing live original electronic music, who's aim is to create music that is both interesting to listen to and pleasing to dance to, as well as provide original computer generated projections for visual entertainment.

Both members (Rick Baines and Tim Jackson) played independently in various Rock, Metal, Blues and Jazz bands, as a guitarist and drummer respectively, before discovering the freedom of electronic music at around the same time that they met one another.

After playing numerous gigs (during 1995 to 2000) with an unwieldy van load of synthesizers, drum-machines, mixing desks, and far too many cables to mention; the advent of more powerful modern computers encouraged them to streamline their equipment to one based upon laptops - thus minimising set-up time and transportation issues.? After a few years learning new software, writing new material, and much practise; they started playing live again in 2005, and have since received encouraging reviews for their live performances - most notable being Blackburn Oxjam, Beatherder Festival at Gisburn, and a large dance club in Daugavpils, Latvia.

Their music has been described as similar in style to Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, and Underworld, with some influence from The Orb, Future Sound of London, Eat Static, and The Prodigy.

They have recently been kept busy producing remixes for local bands of many different styles, and creating the music and sound effects for an independent computer game for some Australian computer programming students.
